NEW T-Shirts For Sale!(Posted 9/10/2011)
We're kicking off the beginning of the school year with an awesome new T-Shirt for sale! Anyone is welcome to buy the shirt - OSU Freestyle member or not!
Pricing is as follows:
- $10 for Paid OSU Freestyle Members (those who have purchased the $20 paid membership card)
- $15 for non-card holders (anybody else!)
If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, please fill out this form as soon as possible! We will keep this form open for the next two weeks. After that point, you will recieve an e-mail with further information on how to pay for your shirt! This form is simply serving as a way for us to track what shirt sizes we should order.
NEW OSU Freestyle Paid Membership Option!(Posted 9/7/2011)
Starting today, 9/7/2011, you can purchase a Paid OSU Freestyle Club Membership. For only $20 for an entire year, you receive the membership card shown to the left. For more information on the benefits of a paid membership, please keep reading. If you're already sold, skip to the bottom of this post for the payment link!
- A guaranteed 2 professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered tracks of yourself rapping over instrumentals of your choice, to be recorded at our recording studio sponsor Oranjudio, at two of three possible recording session dates throughout the year.
- A "paid member" membership card to be used to recieve discounts at resturaunts around campus, and for a discount for professional recording services if you'd like to record more than 2 songs during the year.
- A bio on our "Paid Members" page including a list of your recordings.
- Free Hoist Rehydration product, when supplies permit, at events and gatherings. PLUS!
- Your tracks/self-recorded mixtapes will be released on our (coming soon!) FEED ME FLOW Freestyle Rap Blog, and submitted to our sponsor 1st Stop Hip Hop for consideration to be posted there. With these blog releases, you'll be able to get your name out there to the rap community.

Looking Forward to the New School Year! What to Expect... (Posted 8/26/2011)

We hope you had a great summer! The club is planning to kick off the new school year with some great new stuff. Here's the run-down of what you can expect for the first week / early first quarter:

Involvement Fair: On September 19th (12-4PM), OSU Freestyle will have a booth at the involvement fair. We hope to bring in a slew of new members as we manage to do at every involvement fair. We plan to have a speaker system set up with our members' recorded tracks and mixtapes playing throughout the fair (if you have recordings you want to have in the playlist, let us know!) We will have a barrel cooler full of free red bull and hoist, will be selling OSU Freestyle shirts and wrist bands, and will be giving out the usual stickers, buttons, and fliers. It should be a great time and all of our members are welcome to come hang out at the booth to help recruit and do some live freestyle rapping / beatboxing!
Skate Park Event: On September 20th (4-7PM), OSU Freestyle is helping to kick off the Skating club here at Ohio State by having a booth at the skate park here on campus. There will be live skating, a great environment, and free food *hopefully* provided by OSU Freestyle - more on that later! Make sure to come out for this second recruiting opportunity for the club!
E-mail Fundraiser: We are planning on releasing an e-mail to our members' family and relatives letting them know that the club is looking for donations for our events this school year. Donations can now be sent to the club by simply clicking the "donate" button on the right sidebar of this website, and can be sent via credit card or paypal account.
T-Shirts and Wrist Bands: We've started talking to a t-shirt design company about a fresh batch of shirts to kick off the new school year. Order information will come soon if you are subscribed to our newsletter (click Join Us! on the right) and we will have them ordered and delivered as soon as possible at $10 a piece to anyone looking to buy one. Navy Weatherly has also started looking into livestrong-like OSU Freestyle wrist bands to be sold at the involvement fair and skatepark event for $1 each. The Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser last year will help pay for these and let us sell them for so cheap.
Working on New Sponsors: Paid OSU Freestyle members will soon have many more discounts available to them at resturaunts around campus. We are working on snagging more sponsors, so stay tuned!
Lastly, and probably most importantly...
Meeting Time Change: Our weekly meeting time has changed to 7 PM on Wednesday nights, still in 100 Independence Hall. Our first meeting will be September 21st at 7!
Make sure to keep up with our events using our Google Calendar, which will continue to be updated throughout the year with more important event dates that you should keep in mind!
